Vladimir Calambás
A new variety from the highest elevations of Inzá, Cauca
This fully washed coffee from producer Vladimir Calambás is a relatively unknown variety called borbón de la montaña, "mountain bourbon." Only appearing near Inzá, Cauca, it appears to be a local cultivar that is uniquely well-adapted to the region's highest elevations.
A sweet, resonant coffee, we're tasting flavors of watermelon candy, strawberry, and cherry, subtle florals, and buttery caramel. This will make an excellent filter coffee or a wonderful seasonal espresso.

This variety first caught my attention on a cupping table in Medellín last year, with floral and berry notes instead of the citric acidity we normally associate with Cauca
