How do I choose a coffee that's right for me?
If you're not sure which coffee to try, give our Coffee Quiz a chance. In just a few short questions, we'll suggest one of our favorite coffees to suit your taste and brewing preferences.
First, think about what flavor profile and roast level you like. All of our coffee have their flavor notes and roast level listed directly on the bag to help guide folks to a preference they might enjoy. If you're looking additional details regarding origin information, brewing recommendation, and more - the product page for each coffee (found on our website) is the best place to look.

How do I choose the appropriate grind setting when ordering freshly roasted coffee?
Whole Bean - For brewing setups that have a grinder (hand grinder, electric, integrated, etc.).
Espresso - (Finest) Recommended for:
- Espresso
- Moka Pot
Pour Over - (Medium) Recommended for:
- Hario V60 and Switch
- Origami Dripper
- Kalita Wave
- Fellow Stagg
- AeroPress
Chemex - (Medium-Coarse) Recommended for:

What's the best way to store coffee?
Please note that we never recommend freezing coffee. We recommend storing coffee in an airtight container at room temperature and out of direct sunlight. Freezing or refrigerating coffee beans or grounds can result in excess water being absorbed by the coffee, which can drastically ruin the quality of your resulting brew.
Freshly Roasted Coffee
After opening, our freshly roasted coffee can remain in the original bag and be re-sealed with tie or tape for easy storage.
For an increased level of freshness, store coffee in an airtight container at room temperature and out of direct sunlight. This helps keep your coffee as fresh as possible for as long as possible.
Specialty Instant Coffee
Our Specialty Instant Coffees are packed in a box as individually sealed sachets that should be kept in their original packaging prior to brewing.
Rockaway Cold Brew Pouches
After opening, our Rockaway Cold Brew Pouches can remain in the original bag and be re-sealed with tie or tape for easy storage.
For an increased level of freshness, store the pouches in an airtight container at room temperature and out of direct sunlight. This helps keep your coffee as fresh as possible for as long as possible.
Once brewed, the cold brew will need to be kept under refrigeration for up to 2 weeks.
The Mega Jug Cold Brew Concentrate
Prior to opening, our Mega Jug Cold Brew Concentrate can be stored at room temperature. Once opened, the concentrate will need to be kept under refrigeration for up to 1 week.
I live in NYC, where can I buy your coffee?

Can I use multiple discount codes on a single order?
Unfortunately due to system limitations, a single discount code can be used per transaction.
What's the shelf life on coffee?
Stickers indicating the roast date or best by date will be attached to each and every coffee product in the month/year format. If a sticker is missing from an item, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team and we'll be more than happy to share the roast date information with you.
Freshly Roasted Coffee
We recommend using coffee beans within 4 weeks of their roast date. But if you like to keep your coffee beans for longer, no problem! Along with food safety standards, our coffee beans have a shelf life of up to 6 months after their roast date.
Specialty Instant Coffees
Our Specialty Instant Coffees have a shelf life of up to 2 years.
Rockaway Cold Brew Pouches
Our Rockaway Cold Brew Pouches have a shelf life up to 1 year. Once brewed, the cold brew will need to be kept under refrigeration for up to 2 weeks.
The Mega Jug Cold Brew Concentrate
Our Mega Jug Cold Brew Concentrate is shelf-stable for up 1 year. Once opened, the concentrate will need to be kept under refrigeration for up to 1 week.
Shipping
When will my order ship?
All orders placed through our website and mobile app will typically ship out within 1-3 days* and include coffee that is between 1-3 days off-roast (with variations possible).
Please note that all orders, even those that do not contain freshly roasted coffee, will still follow this schedule.
*Occasionally (due to extenuating circumstances such as high order volume or holidays), your order may encounter a slight delay in fulfillment. We apologize for any delays and do our best to communicate when such situations occur.
When will my order arrive?
Shipping times may vary based on season, delivery destination, and day of the week. Generally speaking, though, we see orders delivered within the below time spans.
Standard shipping for all orders is between 2-7 days*, but can take up to 10 days or more when delays, weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances are taken into account.
Orders $40+ ship via UPS. Orders below $40 ship via USPS.
USPS:
- East Coast: 1-2 Days
- Midwest: 2-3 Days
- West Coast: 3-4 Days
UPS:
- East Coast: 1-2 Days
- Midwest: 2-4 Days
- West Coast: 3-5 Days
*The above timelines are estimates. There may be extenuating circumstances that may cause delays within USPS/UPS's systems. Unfortunately, these issues are outside our control, but we're here to help provide guidance and support if you have any questions.
Do you offer free shipping?
To qualify for free shipping, an order must fulfill at least one of the criteria below:
- Order total of $40+ after discounts have been applied
- Subscription purchase of any amount
- Log in under your active Passport Membership account
- Add a free shipping discount code added before completing payment
Where do you ship to?
We ship to any state in the United States, as well as Armed Forced addresses. At this time, we are not able to ship internationally. We are actively looking for a way to ship overseas that will ensure coffee freshness, but we’re not quite there yet.
