Trip Report: Colombia, February 2024
Last week we made a long overdue visit to see our export partners in Colombia, starting with Cuatro Vientos in Huila, then heading north to see Pergamino in Antioquia. Concluding our time in Medellín we visited Unblended Coffee to cup and discuss our sourcing practices with a group of enthusiastic young producers who already comprise the next generation of incredible coffee farmers.

On a personal note, highlights of the trip included a visit to Finca Lomaverde—part of Santa Bárbara Estate and in my recollection, our oldest farm relationship—and the return of my all time favorite chiroso lots from the town of Urrao, near mythical in our roastery after a long hiatus. This year marks 10 years of business with Pedro Echavarría and Pergamino and I couldn’t be more excited about our spring and summer Colombian offerings!
