I've ranked all coffees from Partners as 5-star by my criteria which means high quality beans, free of defects, and roasted at the level described. No chaff, no broken beans, uniform color throughout, no hint of mold, etc. After that, it's all personal preference. I saw that there was a single One Star review on Block Party and I knew what it would be before I read it: the reviewer found it too tart or sour. If your preference is a dark roast with milk, this might not be for you. But if you prize brightness (or acidity as we used to call it), this one exemplifies that attribute. The tart fruit flavors noted like strawberry, and green apple are accurate and go with the brightness as opposed to chocolatey or dark fruit. Brightness is a great attribute. It has to first of all exist in the bean, and then it has to be roasted carefully so as not to destroy it. This is a superb example.
