He married Nazareth, "the love of his life," and settled on the farm. Their four children followed their path as coffee producers and two of their grandchildren, Luiz Paulo and Jacques, would go on to found CarmoCoffees—our export partners for most of our sourcing in Brazil. Since Nazareth's recent passing, management of the farm has passed on to their son Francisco ("Chico"). The farm is a sprawling 850 hectares, of which 350 are planted with coffee—an area slightly larger than Central Park. The rest is diversified with bananas, corn, soy, and girolando cattle. Talented ranchers, the family has been gradually reducing their livestock in favor of coffee production...

    Truly outstanding roast

I’ve been a devotee of Flatiron roast for awhile (even my local Brooklyn coffee shop uses it) but this is BY FAR my favorite roast Partners has ever done. Deliciously rich cocoa notes that make a great espresso and latte. I wish this wasn’t seasonal 🥲
