Coffee Specs

We’re always proud of our decaf. Meant to serve double-duty as filter coffee or espresso, Ghost Town is composed of coffees decaffeinated using the Mountain Water Process, which uses hot water and careful filtration to extract and remove caffeine. Throughout the year we cup and select our favorite coffees from around Latin America decaffeinated in this way, always looking for something sweet, full bodied, and low in acidity. 

Ghost Town is currently composed of a community-grown lot from Beneficio San Vicente, our longtime partners in Santa Bárbara, Honduras. Fidel Paz founded San Vicente in 2001 with an ambition to grow Honduras’s reputation as a producer of high quality coffees. Today the mill and the Paz family are hugely influential in specialty coffee worldwide, producing some of our favorite coffees from unique microlots to large scale blend components.
